Workplace anxiety is one of the most common professional experiences, and one of the least openly discussed. In high-accountability environments like government and professional services, the pressure to appear competent and in control often means anxiety is managed privately, at significant personal cost, rather than addressed with the tools that actually help. This session names workplace anxiety clearly without pathologising it and treats it as what the research shows it to be: a manageable nervous system response that responds well to specific, evidence-based techniques.
Participants leave with an understanding of the most common workplace anxiety patterns: perfectionism, anticipatory anxiety, people-pleasing, rumination and a practical tool for working with anxious thinking rather than against it. Suitable for all employees regardless of prior experience with mental health topics. Pairs well with the Calm to Perform workshop for organisations wanting a more comprehensive programme.
