While many organisations throughout the world have placed a focus and expected actions around making workplace psychologically safe for cooperation, ideation and collaborative teams, Australia now has workplace health a safety legislation that makes this focus mandatory.
In this workshop, we will focus on the actions we can take to manage WHS hazards specific to psychosocial issues:
- job demands
- low job control
- poor support
- lack of role clarity
- poor organisational change management
- inadequate reward and recognition
- poor organisational justice
- traumatic events or material
- remote or isolated work
- poor physical environment
- violence and aggression
- bullying
- harassment including sexual harassment
- conflict or poor workplace relationships
We will explore the interactions, actions, behaviours and mindsets needed to avoid risks. We will also explore the benefits from investing time in building and maintaining a psychologically safe team and environment.
