About the facilitator
Suzy Roche knows what it’s like to lead through uncertainty. She has spent more than 20 years doing exactly that across complex, global organisations including AT&T, Verizon and Vodafone. The real-world challenge of leading teams, driving change and delivering results informs everything she designs and delivers.
Throughout her career, Suzy has dedicated herself to researching contemporary leadership trends and blending insights from multiple learning disciplines. While her expertise spans a wide range of methodologies, leadership sits at the core of her work, with critical disciplines such as team effectiveness, change, strategy and psychological safety cascading from that foundation. This multidisciplinary depth is what allows her to design learning that is both rigorous and highly practical.
As Essemy’s Head of Delivery and Quality, Suzy is also the organisation’s lead Instructional Designer and a highly regarded facilitator of leadership programs and workshops. She works with public sector and commercial organisations to create development experiences that genuinely stick. Her clients include the Department of Health, the Public Sector Commission, Development WA, Combined Metal Industries, Racing and Wagering WA and Tourism WA just to name a few. What unites them is a shared commitment to development grounded in evidence, not fads.
What makes Suzy unique is her ability to translate contemporary research into tools leaders can actually use. She makes concepts such as psychological safety, adaptive leadership and strategic thinking accessible and actionable in the realities of today’s workplace. Her sessions are engaging, thought-provoking and designed to challenge how people think, not just what they know.
A Professionally Certified Coach, Suzy holds accreditations in MBTI, EQi 2.0, Belbin, Team Alignment Survey, Change Style Indicator and HBDI. She is currently completing a Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology, reinforcing her belief in and commitment to lifelong learning.
