About the coach
Professional background
Tara is an accomplished improvement and transformational change leader, with expertise in psychology, technology, and project management. Adept at leading large-scale, complex, and technically demanding strategic change initiatives across various industries. She has spent the last 16 years as a senior project and change leader at BHP and Rio Tinto — two of the world’s most complex, performance-driven organisations — Tara knows first-hand what it takes to lead teams through high-pressure change, align competing agendas, and sustain culture when the stakes are high and the margin for error is low.
Coaching process
Most coaching reveals what you do. Tara Minchin’s coaching reveals why and that distinction makes all the difference.
As a certified PRINT® practitioner and Coaching Constellations facilitator, Tara works with leaders who sense that something in how they lead, or how their team functions, is not quite right but who have not yet been able to name it, let alone shift it. Her coaching creates the conditions for that shift, addressing the unconscious motivators, relational dynamics, and systemic patterns that conventional coaching tools leave untouched.
Tara’s background gives her coaching a grounding that is unusual in the market. Having spent 16 years in senior leadership at BHP and Rio Tinto, Tara understands the environment her clients operate in. She knows what it is to carry accountability in high-consequence industries, to lead teams through uncertainty, and to manage the gap between the leader you intend to be and the one your people experience. She brings that understanding without judgement and with deep practical credibility.
