Whether you are leading a large project, dealing with contractors, working in government departments or managing stakeholders of any sort, influencing and negotiation skills are an essential part of the managers toolkit to achieve win-win outcomes.
NOTE: this program is focused on the psychology of influencing and negotiation, not the technical aspects of complex legal negotiations.
This session covers the key preparation steps for effective negotiation, including understanding your BATNA and identifying the needs of all negotiating parties. Participants will explore the differences between distributive and integrative negotiation approaches, along with practical tactics for each. The program also focuses on building rapport and trust to strengthen influence and negotiation outcomes, while helping participants recognise different negotiation styles and strategies.
Participants will also learn the Head, Heart, Hands influencing framework, along with nine practical influencing tools and how to apply them effectively in workplace conversations. In addition, the session explores strategies for managing situations when negotiations become challenging or go off track.

You can’t learn about influencing and negotiation skills just by listening to the course facilitator; you need to experience the tools and strategies first hand.
