Overview
Recruitment and resourcing involve attracting and selecting individuals into a job role. Recruiting the right individuals is crucial for organisations who need people with the right skills and capabilities to deliver their goals. It is a critical activity, not just for the HR team but also for line managers who are increasingly involved in the selection process. Everyone involved in recruitment must have the appropriate knowledge and skills to make effective and fair recruitment decisions.
This practical session provides an overview of the recruitment, selection and resourcing process, including preparation for, and practical experience of, conducting interviews. This course provides you with the essential tools for different recruitment and selection methods and how to select appropriate recruitment channels to make sure recruiting candidates doesn’t become a box ticking exercise.

Ali Local is a Charted HR Professional with the CIPD and has almost 20 years of strategic HR and Organisational Development experience.
Ali has led teams to deliver complex projects with multiple stakeholders relating to the design, implementation, and evaluation of HR strategic initiatives such as organisational culture, capability, change management, organisation design, as well as talent and leadership development.
Ali is an expert at creating a high-performance culture and is especially proficient at solving difficult and unwieldy problems. Ali has a keen curiosity in the people and organisation aspects of business transformations and has significant experience relating to how the future of work will impact organisational capability and effectiveness. Ali’s strengths are in her capacity to link academic research to pragmatic and creative solutions to solve problems.
Ali holds a degree in French and History from the University of Manchester in the UK and is an alumnus of the London Business School having completed their courses in Human Resource Strategy in Transforming Organisations and Managing the Company of the Future. Ali also holds a Diploma in Positive Psychology and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Ali is also working towards her Advanced Diploma in Leadership & Executive Coaching.
