Supportive, human-centred leadership is becoming an essential skill for leaders, especially in relation to enhancing psychological safety and minimising psychosocial risk. With new global and national guidelines focussing on psychosocial hazards at work, leaders must be able to support mental health and wellbeing at work, and foster cultures where wellbeing is enhanced.
In this workshop participants explore human-centred leadership, what it is, and why it is important, as well as the benefits it provides to workers, and the organisation. We identify the core skills of compassion, empathy, self awareness, emotional intelligence, and psychological safety, and perform a self assessment to determine which areas require further training and support. We then explore the role psychological safety has in helping manage and minimise psychosocial hazards. Self-reflection occurs throughout this workshop to assist participants in identifying areas for growth.
Anyone who has responsibility for people's wellbeing, including leaders, managers, supervisors.
An activity worksheet will be provided.
