This workshop is aimed at people who want to understand the fundamentals of cyber security and to put it into context on how damaging a cyber attack can be. It will provide an overview of mitigation strategies to help organisations understand the essential cyber security practices recommended for organisations to implement as a cyber security baseline. It will also uncover common reasons why organisations fail to adequately address the key cyber security risks and delve into the misconceptions that it not "your" problem and it "won't happen to me."
This workshop is for people who want to get a fundamental understanding of cyber security principles, concepts, approaches and defence strategies. All managers and decision makers should have a basic understanding of cyber security and associated impacts.
Participants will receive handouts of the course notes and case studies
