About the facilitator
Amanda Branley is a procurement and contract management specialist with more than 25 years’ experience across the Western Australian public sector and corporate sectors. She brings extensive practical knowledge spanning procurement and commercial strategy, risk and governance, relationship management, contract management and organisational transformation.
Amanda has held senior leadership roles at the Public Transport Authority (PTA), Mental Health Commission and Department of Education. As Chief Procurement Officer at the PTA, she was responsible for procurement, commercial and fleet management services supporting the organisation and METRONET rail program. She led the implementation of the WA Procurement Act 2020 and associated Procurement Rules at the agency, helping reset procurement practices and strengthen governance. In addition, she managed and supported staff through the change to work roles and practices, and data management and curation, for the implementation and adoption of a source to contract (procurement) system.
At the Mental Health Commission, Amanda oversaw significant commissioning and contracting arrangements across non-government organisations and health service providers. Earlier, at the Department of Education, she led strategic procurement across 780 public schools and central services, alongside major business transformation initiatives.
Amanda is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (FCIPS) and delivers accredited and skills-based procurement and contract management training across Australia and New Zealand. She combines technical expertise with a practical understanding of how policies, frameworks and systems translate into day-to-day practice.
Her facilitation draws on real-world experience, providing participants with practical tools and relevant case studies to strengthen their procurement capability, facilitate strategy and planning, manage commercial risk, uphold integrity and implement change effectively.
