Creating a culture of feedback is not just important for developing talent, it is essential for driving innovation, improving decision-making, strengthening relationships, and increasing employee engagement. Yet giving and receiving feedback can be challenging. Even when feedback is well-intentioned, it can be difficult to deliver in a way that feels constructive, meaningful, and motivating, while receiving feedback can trigger defensiveness, discomfort, or resistance. There is good science behind why feedback can be so difficult and understanding it can help us become much better at giving and receiving it.
In this interactive, hands-on workshop, participants will explore the science and psychology behind effective feedback and discover how to turn feedback conversations into meaningful opportunities for learning, growth, and improved performance. They will develop practical skills to deliver clear, specific, and constructive feedback, navigate challenging conversations, and create an environment where people feel safe to both give and receive feedback.
The workshop goes beyond simply teaching feedback models and techniques. It explores the human side of feedback, how people think, feel, and respond and how leaders can use this understanding to make feedback more effective and impactful.
Through practical activities, interactive exercises, and real-world scenarios, participants will have the opportunity to practise and refine their skills so they can apply them immediately in the workplace.
The workshop is based on the expert's 14 years of experience applying psychology to help organisations and leaders create great places to work where people can thrive and perform at their best.
This workshop is for people leaders and can be facilitated online or in-person.
Post-workshop, all participants get access to a digital toolkit. This comprises of the handouts, templates, videos, and interactive quizzes covering all the concepts discussed in the workshop.
