Overview
The pace and challenges of the workforce are ever-increasing and changing and to meet this need we need to be empowered with the ability to prioritise and take action on the things that matter. To do this we need the ability to not only manage downward, but to manage upward. The Harvard Business Review defines managing up as, “Being the most effective employee you can be, creating value for your boss and your company.” In this 1/2 day workshop we will focus on the key skills and actions to ensure you can manage upward successfully.

With 20+ years of lived experience as a manager and leader with some of the globe’s largest international organisations, Suzy applies her real-world, award-winning experience to support the learning journeys of others through coaching, instructional design, facilitation and digital learning technologies.
Her accomplishments in the areas of product development, team and project leadership, change management, distribution, marketing communications and organisational development capability strategy have provided her with a rich blend of insight on how to meet the unique development needs of each participant.
Her qualifications include: Bachelor of Arts, University of South Alabama; Graduate Certificate eCommerce and Web Design (Georgia Tech); Advanced Diploma of Management; Diploma of Professional Coaching; Certificate IV TAE16; Fellow Australian Institute of Management, Professionally Certified Coach. She is currently completing her Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology.
She has successfully led Learning and Development/OD projects in many diverse sectors including: WA Police, BHP Iron Ore, Bankwest, Verizon Wireless (US), City of Karratha, Sime-Darby (Malaysia), City of Swan, Pawsey Supercomputing, INPEX, City of Albany, West Coast Eagles, Telethon Kids, ECU, Curtin, AT&T (US), Synergy, WA Health Support Services, Perth Transport Authority and City of Perth.
Suzy understands that every situation requires unique tools and learning experiences and is certified in diagnostics such as Myers-Briggs Step 1 and 2 (MBTI); Belbin Team Roles, EQi 2.0: Individual, Leadership and 360; Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI), Centre for Creative Leadership Benchmarks and Skillscope; California Psychological Instrument (CPI). Additionally, she has been designing digital learning solutions to support blended learning for over 10 years using tools such Adobe Captivate, Camtasia (certified), Articulate Suite (Storyline3 + Rise) and Adobe Illustrator.
