2 days
The ability to think clearly, critically, decisively and creatively in today's work environment is becoming increasingly valuable and difficult given the level of distraction and excess of information.
This intensive, two day course covers what good thinking looks like, how to foster habits of mind and working practices to encourage better thinking, with lots of practical tools to apply to different situations. We analyse participants' cognitive biases and the role they play in every day interactions and decisions. This leads to analysing and evaluating information and looking at logical fallacies that influence our beliefs and choices.
We take a practical look at decision making, with mental models and matrices that can help us decide on anything from which proposal to go with to which printer to use. We then put the thinking into practice with relevant examples and we apply strategies for lateral thinking and problem solving and then practice using the new tools.
A full spectrum thinking course. This is the 'must-do' course for all leaders and their teams.
Leaders, emerging leaders and their teams in large organisations
All handouts are provided.
Bring an open mind and willingness to try new approaches to problems. A mental note of recent decisions and challenges.
