About the facilitator
Chris is a highly experienced senior leader and lean business improvement expert and coach who has worked for a diverse array of blue-chip organisations. He spent the first 24 years of his career in the food industry managing production facilities to supply the major retailers in both the UK and Australia.
In 2012 he set up his own business teaching business improvement skills to small and medium size enterprises. He has since held both Lean Specialist and General Management roles in the Grain Handling industry, State Utilities and Telecommunications industry.
Chris has a passion for Lean Manufacturing, Process Re-engineering and Change Leadership. He has over 23 years of experience teaching Lean to Business Owners, Senior Leaders, Mangers and Teams as a way of creating sustainable improvement. He holds both a Degree in Food Science & Technology and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from UWA. Additionally, Chris is a certified Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt and PROSCI accredited Change Manager.
Fundamentally, Chris is a realist when it comes to working with people. Having led large teams through major change initiatives he understands that sustainable change comes when people and process work in harmony towards a common outcome.
He understands the value of keeping it simple and using language that everyone understands. He has coached hundreds of people in the mind set and methodologies of lean across a diverse range of industries, including FMCG Food Manufacturing, Bulk Materials Handling, Utilities and Telecommunications.
Chris has a legacy of achievement in building knowledge in lean and coaching teams to create sustainable performance improvement. To date he has worked with and for: McCain Foods, Rank Hovis McDougall, One Harvest, Goodman Fielder, CBH, Western Power, Enterprise Wireless, and numerous small to medium size enterprises.
