Overview
Powerful and effective leaders know how to connect with their staff and their stakeholders at a deeper and more meaningful level.
For centuries leaders have been sharing stories as a means to connect and influence their followers.
Stories embed in the brain in a completely different way than facts and figures and our brains are wired to remember, learn from and enjoy a great story.
Knowing that stories are one of the best ways to connect with people, why are we not telling more stories in the boardroom, on the conference floors or in our training rooms. Perhaps because we don’t know how to craft a powerful story or maybe we have been at the receiving end of a story that was delivered poorly or had no relevance.
Powerful storytelling is a combination of both art and science. This master class explores the power of story and how anyone can use storytelling as a method to influence, engage, sell and inspire others in the world of business.
Paula will also share her Masters research in Leadership Communication (the power of story) so there will be no doubt about why leaders need to tell more stories in the future.
