Most presentation skills training focuses on technique and ignores the thing actually running the show: your nervous system. This full-day intensive is built on one idea:
Authenticity = Composure + Energy, and Authenticity is what makes you Compelling.
Participants open with an uncoached benchmark presentation, then spend the day building three interlocking skill sets: what they SAY (owning language, claiming ideas, landing a point), how they SOUND (inflection, volume, speed, clarity), and how they're SEEN (eye contact, gestures, posture, use of space). Every concept is demonstrated live, then trained in pairs or trios with real-time coaching.
The day closes with an integration. A second, longer presentation where participants feel the shift for themselves. They leave with a personal toolkit for managing adrenaline under pressure and a presence that reads as composed and energised, not flat or frantic.
Anyone (including people who HATE public speaking). Particularly useful for professionals, managers and emerging leaders who present regularly to teams, clients or stakeholders and want their delivery to match the quality of their thinking by being authentically them. Ideal for cohorts of 8, from confident-but-unpolished speakers to those who genuinely dread presenting.
Composed & Compelling participant workbook covering all SAY/SOUND/SEEN exercises, a personal adrenaline-management toolkit, and a self-reflection worksheet completed across the day.
A topic they know well for the final presentation (work-related or personal), and a willingness to be seen mid-practice, not just polished at the end.
Sophie Hardman is a senior facilitator, keynote and guest speaker who believes learning sticks best when people are genuinely enjoying themselves. And she's spent over a decade proving it, with more than 500 days in the room delivering high-impact leadership and capability programs.
Sophie brings something that's genuinely hard to find: the ability to walk into any room, pick up a well-designed program, and make it exceptional. Whether she's delivering a leadership workshop for 20 senior managers or moderating a full-day conference for 500, she shows up with warmth, presence and the kind of performer energy that keeps a room engaged from the first minute to the last. She is equally at home in a boardroom and on a stage.
Most recently an Associate Director in Learning Consulting at KPMG, Sophie spent 13 years there progressing from Chartered Accountant to leading learning transformation and capability programs across corporate and government clients. Her recent work includes leading a major learning transformation for WA Public Sector Commission, delivering a keynote on AI and the Future of Learning at the AITD conference, and building an AI-powered learning tool that secured significant organisational investment at KPMG. Technology and AI is woven through everything she designs, not as a specialism, but as a natural part of how she thinks.
Sophie is a Chartered Accountant and a qualified yoga teacher - an unusual pairing that gives her both the analytical rigour to design programs that hold up under scrutiny, and the embodied presence to read a room and hold its energy live.
