Martijn Laguna

Martijn Laguna is an accomplished management consultant and executive leadership coach with more than a decade of experience supporting organisations, senior leaders and teams in strategy development, implementation and navigating organisational complexity.

As a leadership partner, he is deeply committed to empowering managers and teams at all levels to lead through change, build capability, move confidently through growth and transformation cycles and deliver sustained organisational outcomes.

Martijn has extensive experience facilitating team development programs, culture initiatives and leadership offsites that strengthen trust, communication and collaboration. His work focuses on aligning teams around shared purpose, improving cohesion and enabling meaningful and sustainable behavioural change.

Before transitioning into consultancy, mentoring and leadership coaching, Martijn built a successful 25-year corporate career. He led established businesses to significant growth and profitability and has a proven track record in building new venture both organically and through acquisition.

As a senior executive, Martijn has worked across large publicly listed multinationals, privately held organisations, technology start-ups, SMEs and not-for-profit organisations in Australia, the APAC region and Europe. He held Managing Director, COO, Executive General Management, Sales & Marketing Director roles and he currently serves as a non-executive director (NED) of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Australasia.

His experience spans a wide range of industries including technology, publishing, information services and media, software (SaaS), professional services, education and training, compliance and risk management, insurance, community services and personal (disability) care and government.

Martijn holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Amsterdam, is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), an ICF-credentialed coach (ACC) and a specialised ADHD coach.

Martijn’s coaching approach is strength-based, holistic and systemic. With a calm, disarming and approachable demeanour, he effortlessly builds rapport and trust. His coaching style is empathetic, authentic and engaging yet thought-provoking enabling him to challenge his clients in constructive ways.

This approach allows Martijn to create a safe, respectful and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore new opportunities, shift perspectives, reframe narratives, solve problems and implement actionable plans.  His ultimate goal is to make his coaching transformational and measurably successful ensuring both individual and organisational objectives are met.
