About the facilitator
Kate is a passionate and results-driven business strategy and planning facilitator with a unique combination of technical expertise and business experience across Australia, the Netherlands and the USA. She has a proven track record of leading strategic planning initiatives for both corporations and non-profit organisations. Her academic background (PhD) has given her strong analytical capabilities, while her Diploma in Coaching adds the crucial human element needed for effective facilitation. She has successfully helped numerous businesses develop clear visions, missions, and strategic plans to guide their growth.
Her non-profit strategic planning skills have been most notably demonstrated in her recent work with Saltbush Social Enterprises, an Indigenous not-for-profit in Darwin, NT. Born in Wickham WA, next to Karratha, Kate is particularly passionate about supporting Indigenous organisations. Other non-profit organisations she has helped include 20Talk, a mental health charity, and several clients in the NDIS space.
Her extensive corporate experience was demonstrated during her time at Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM) where as a consultant, she facilitated client team workshops and implemented strategic planning studies and workshops for major clients including Water Corporation, Hunter Water NSW, and SA Water as well as several water utilities in The Netherlands.
Her experience in developing and trademarking "The Business Builder's Master Plan" highlights her ability to create and implement structured frameworks that guide businesses through strategic planning processes. She also assisted the Fempire Franchise in 2018, a business coaching platform for female founders, by creating their “Business Building Blueprint” that continues to be used to certify business coaches across Australia today.
Her current role as a business growth specialist has honed her skills in helping organisations plan strategically for success, develop clear goals, and create actionable implementation plans. She has a unique ability to create clarity and meaningful pathways forward for her clients.
