Overview
Holistic Resilience is Lauren's framework for making resilience practical. She uses the analogy of a well-being bank account with deposits and withdrawals. Our ability to bounce back after adversity is dependent on how much "well-being capital" we have in this account.
More importantly, Lauren helps participants to understand that their "account" is unique to them. She shows participants that looking after their own well-being involves acknowledging what they personally need and what they need to change.
In this full day version of the program, Lauren guides participants through a range of evidence based strategies to better manage their resilience. By the end of the day, participants have created their own personal resilience plan. Lauren been delivering short and long versions of this program for the last 10 years.

Who is this workshop for
This workshop is for people who want to improve how they respond to stress and adversity by applying practical strategies. It requires some self reflection, particularly on how a participants' thinking may be influencing their stress response. It is suitable for all levels of the organisation.
Handouts/materials provided
During the workshop, Lauren will provide templates for participants to create their own resilience plan.
Following the workshop, Lauren will provide summary notes and suggested further reading.
What to bring
Paper and pen: Lauren encourages participants to take their own notes throughout the session. She finds this helps participants to stay engaged and apply the concepts to their particular circumstances.

About the facilitator
Lauren Hancock is an experienced Psychologist with a diverse background, having worked across a range of industries, including healthcare, resources, local government, education, and non-profit sectors. Throughout her career, she has provided interventions to individuals and groups across Australia and internationally, supporting leaders and organisations in navigating complex people challenges.
Originally trained as a therapist, Lauren has worked in organisational development since 2010, providing programs on leadership and mental health. She brings extensive experience in designing and leading residential leadership programs, having served as Program Director for several multi-day retreats. Her work is grounded in evidence-based methodologies, empowering participants to gain deeper insights into human behaviour and apply these insights to drive meaningful change within their organisations.
Lauren is also Adjunct Faculty for the Executive Education arm of two leading Australian Business Schools. Her excellence in program facilitation was recognised in 2024, when she received a teaching award for achieving the highest overall participant satisfaction.
As a coach, Lauren works with leaders to develop both intrapersonal and interpersonal skills critical for effective leadership. She believes that self-awareness and the capacity to manage mental health factors are essential to successful leadership. She works with executives and senior leaders, supporting them through career transitions, promotions, and organisational change. A number of her coaching clients have worked with her over several years as they advance in their careers. She is also an experienced team coach, focussing on enhancing team dynamics and performance.
Lauren holds these qualifications: Graduate: Company Director Course (AICD); Master of Psychology (Counselling Psychology); Bachelor of Psychology (Graduate); Bachelor of Science (Psychology) and Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAA40104). Lauren is a Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
