Preventing bullying and harassment at work requires empathy, self awareness, and commitment to accountability and shared values. It is essential for Australian workplaces to prioritise the awareness and prevention of these psychosocial risks to ensure the long-term psychological health and safety of their teams. Strong leadership sets the cultural tone and encourages an ongoing commitment of the team to uphold a positive culture that is inclusive, supportive, and respectful.
This half day workshop addresses behaviour change theory, the concepts of compassion and empathy, and the role of unconscious bias in bullying and harassment. We review the behaviours that constitute bullying and harassment, as well as their effect on individuals, teams, and society. The workshop provides examples of bullying and harassment and what to do when it is occurring to you or a colleague, leaving participants with improved understanding of the signs of bullying and harassment and the path for resolution.
This workshop suits all teams, as well as leaders and HR leaders. The content can be tailored to suit the audience.
An activity workbook will be provided.
Pen, paper, and an open and curious mind.
