The 5S methodology is a systematic approach to improving and managing workplace organisation. It is made up of the five steps of Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, and Sustain. At a high level, 5S involves going through items in the workplace and removing what's unnecessary by organising, cleaning and performing maintenance, and then sustaining the outcome.
This is a practical workshop to enable knowledge transfer of the 5S theory, how to apply within our work environment, coupled with practical Gemba approach with the participants to start the 5S journey.

Being an experienced facilitator, Barrie uses his past 16-year career at Toyota (UK) car manufacturing and his 10 year Australian consulting experience to achieve results across organisations of all sizes. Trained by Master Japanese trainers during his time with Toyota Operations, Engineering and Pre-Production design teams, he understands the importance of collaborating with and engaging the workforce, influencing stakeholders and building professional relationships. Barrie is extremely motivated and passionate about developing and leading agile high performing and diverse teams and promoting customer centric thought processes. He thrives on the challenges working towards process and operational excellence.
