Safety and Health Committees are an essential part of the formal consultative processes in the workplace that provide a forum for employers and representatives of employees to regularly discuss, review and make recommendations on safety and health issues. They bring management and employee representatives together in a planned, structured and focused way providing a means for initiating, developing and implementing measures designed to ensure the safety and health of employees.
This course is designed to help Safety and Health Committees be effective in fulfilling their functions as required by the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
Approved Code of Practice and Guidance Notes are provided for use during the course.

He is an Adjunct Lecturer at Edith Cowan University where he teaches incident investigation and holds professional recognition as a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Health and Safety, Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and Associate Fellow of the Nautical Institute. Mark is also an Exemplar Global–certified Lead Auditor, ICAM Lead Investigator and a licensed investigator in Western Australia.
Mark has extensive management and board experience having held positions of President, Chairman, Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer and General Manager. He is a Life Member and past President of the Petroleum Club of Western Australia.
Mark specialises in mining, construction, energy and the maritime industry and works across WA both consulting to industry and delivering training solutions. His current and past clients include Fremantle Ports, City of Perth, Small Business Development Corporation, Master Builders and CCIWA.
Mark delivers a range of workshops from understating the WHS Legislation, investigating accidents through to safety training for supervisors and managers.
