Overview
One-on-ones serve as a powerful tool for leaders to foster stronger, more trusting relationships with each team member and help them reach their full potential.
Yet, most managers are taught ineffective one-on-one practices which result in regular cancellations, unproductive chats or little improvement in employee engagement.
This comprehensive workshop provides leaders with a proven structured approach that will ensure their one-on-ones are meaningful and productive. Past students credit this workshop as completely transforming their ability to increase accountability and engagement in their teams.
Participants are taught time-saving best practices, how to leverage the power of questions and create a dynamic agenda template with their report.

About the facilitator
Marie-Claire Ross is an engaging, insightful and globally recognised facilitator and leadership coach. She works with leaders and teams to build trusting, thriving team cultures that increase engagement, team accountability and retain great talent.
She is renowned for her empathetic approach and her ability to make the complex simple. Marie-Claire is the creator of various models that help leaders and their teams better understand trust, psychological safety and accountability. This includes the Integrated Trust Building System and The Achievement Zone Model that feature in her book Trusted to Thrive: How leaders create connected and accountable teams.
Marie-Claire started her career in market research working on big national research projects to test new concepts and communication. This love of research is embedded in her work today and forms her ability to create evidence-based training that she compliments with leadership and team assessments.
She also co-founded a video production agency that was involved in live television broadcasts and creating safety induction videos. Leading a start up has given her in-depth knowledge of creating strategy, leadership and employee engagement. It was during this time she delved deeply into best practices for adult training and was also awarded two LearnX Gold Awards for "Best Use of Video in an Employee Training Program."
During her time working with large companies to improve their staff training, she realised that trust was the real reason for so many issues. She then embarked on research within companies and read over 200 research studies to develop leadership training programs. For the last 10 years, she has focused on building trust within organisations.
Marie-Claire is a prolific leadership writer who has written weekly blog articles since 2009 and is often featured in business magazines (such as CEO magazine and Smart Company, as well as various podcasts). She has also written the best-selling book Transform your Safety Communication.
Marie-Claire works with a range of industries around the world such as Commonwealth Bank, Queensland Health, Petronas (Malaysia), Atkins-Realis (Canada), Qantas, and Novartis (Sweden). Marie-Claire has recently been named Thinkers 360 Top 50 B2B Thought Leaders & Influencers You Should Work With In 2024 (APAC) and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
