When Unconscious Bias goes unchecked it can damage your culture, reputation, performance and profit. Unconscious bias can result in us having difficulty seeing colleagues’ talents, motivations, and potential clearly. This means we interact with them less effectively and make poorly informed decisions related to any number of business areas, including:
- Hiring the wrong candidate for a job
- Misunderstanding customers
- Undervaluing employees
- Stunting innovation, and
- Causing talented employees to get frustrated and disengage or leave.Â
This VR blended learning workshop uses virtual reality simulations to expose people to their own biases, providing perspective-taking exercises that only VR can do to capture the insights required to build self-awareness and empathy.Â
Through immersive and highly interactive exercises we encourage participants to challenge their own biases, explore personal strategies to counteract biases, and try on tools to adjust automatic patterns of thinking, and ultimately eliminate discriminatory behaviours.
This workshop is for all people managers in enterprise that want to lead consciously, and help their team achieve greater creativity and collaboration.Â
Four VR experiences are included – putting the learner front and centre to experience bias first hand through real-life workplace simulations.
Ten Oculus Go ’All-in-one’ (No PC. No wires. No limits) VR headsets will be supplied.
