    Professional background

    Miles has been a full time executive coach, mentor and leadership consultant for more than 23 years, and prior to that spent ten years as a volunteer coach in the personal development space. 

    With nearly forty years of experience managing businesses and interacting with clients from government, industry, finance, and not-for-profits, he provides valuable context and insight as a thought partner for clients today. He builds rapport quickly, with a style that is both intuitive and analytical, and humorous as well as authentic. After a short stint as a research associate in Economics at Cambridge University, Miles had a fifteen year career in investment banking based in London. In 2016, Miles started his own leadership development consultancy, offering one-on-one mentoring to executives, board directors, business owners, high potentials, and professionals to develop their ‘personal leadership capital’.

    People come to Miles to make good transitions, transform their capabilities to meet the next challenge, work out what’s next, and create a sense of purpose for their work. Miles has had excellent results with executives & next tier leaders (functional & operational), board directors, business owners and high potentials.

    Miles has a clear and powerful methodology for building ‘personal leadership capital’ by integrating three elements:

    2. Making the best choices from your values
    3. Contributing from your purpose. 

    In addition, Miles acts as a thought partner for clients, building rapport quickly, with a style both intuitive and analytical, humorous as well as authentic. His philosophy is to empower, encourage, experiment, develop, enjoy the ride, and keep it simple.

    As an executive director in Capital Markets, his clients were Finance Ministers, Central Bank Governors, CFOs, and senior corporate finance and treasury executives in Eastern Europe, North America, Latin America, and the Middle East. They discovered how to transition effectively to more responsible roles, and transform their capacity and ability to lead through challenging times, create high performing teams, align groups, and implement change.
