Single Workshop

One workshop. One clear shift in how your team works.

Sometimes a team does not need a program. It needs one focused day, led by someone from outside the room, that moves a specific thing forward.

Essemy delivers a single workshop to your organisation, facilitated by a hand-picked expert in that subject, built around the problem you are actually trying to solve, or the skill you are looking to develop in your people, rather than an off the shelf agenda.

Is one workshop the right call, or do you need a program?

This is the question most people are really asking when they land on this page, so here is the honest answer rather than a sales one.

A single workshop fits when

There is one specific capability, conversation or change you need to move.
The group needs fresh perspective from outside the organisation.
You want intensive time on one concept rather than a little of everything.
You are introducing a new system, tool or way of working and people need to practise it.
Something in the team needs airing, and it needs a neutral person in the room.

You probably want more than one when

The change is behavioural and needs reinforcement over months, not hours.
Several capabilities need building in sequence.
You are developing leaders rather than teaching a skill.
You want measurable capability uplift you can report on.

See the multiple workshop solution

If you tell us what you are trying to change, we will tell you honestly which of the two it is. We would rather run the right thing once than the wrong thing three times.

What changes

What your people take back to their desks

A workshop is only worth the day out if something is different afterwards. These are the shifts our facilitators are hired to create.

Conversations people were avoiding

Feedback, accountability and conflict get named and practised in the room, with a neutral facilitator, instead of continuing to sit under the surface.

A shared language

The team leaves with the same words for the same things, which is what makes the change survive the week after.

Practical tools, not theory

Frameworks people can use in real life, applied during the session to real situations from your workplace rather than case studies from someone else’s.

Perspective from outside

An industry expert who is not part of your structure can say the thing nobody internal can say, and be heard saying it.

Collaboration across the room

People who work next to each other and rarely think together spend a day doing exactly that. This is often the part clients report back on.

Engagement that shows up later

Being invested in is not an abstraction. It moves satisfaction and retention, and it is usually the cheapest retention work an organisation can do.

How it works

From first call to the day itself

No long procurement process. Most single workshops go from enquiry to delivery inside a few weeks.

1

Tell us the problem

A short call about what is happening in the team and what you want to be different. Not a briefing form.

2

We match the facilitator

We recommend the best fit from our 120+ facilitators and 500+ workshops, not by who is free that week.

3

Shape the content

The facilitator adapts the session to your context, your language and the situations your people actually face.

4

Run the workshop

In your workplace or a venue, in person or online, for a small team or a large group.

5

Leave with something

Tools, notes and agreed actions, so the day converts into behaviour rather than a good memory.

6

Decide what is next

Sometimes one is enough. Sometimes the workshop shows you what the real program should be. Either answer is fine.

Why it lands

People do not change because they were told. They change because they practised.

Our facilitators build the session around doing rather than listening. Real scenarios, or skills practised in the room, with feedback in the moment.

That is also why the group size and the mix in the room matter, and why we ask about them, so we can deliver the best learning experience.

You get the facilitator who knows that field, rather than a generalist working from a deck.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

We deliver short, half day or full day workshops, depending on the subject and how deep the group needs to go in skill development. We will tell you which length actually suits what you are trying to change, rather than defaulting to a full day because it sounds more substantial.

It depends on the facilitator, the length of the session, the group size and whether it is delivered in person or online. Prices are available on every workshop page, but we can discuss your needs and provide a quote, especially if you have customised needs. There is no ongoing commitment attached to a single workshop.

Both small teams and large groups work. Smaller groups allow more individual practice and more candid discussion, while larger groups suit awareness building and shared language across a department. Tell us the number and we will recommend the format that suits it.

Yes, and it usually is. The facilitator contextualises to your workplace but we can customise to adapt the scenarios, language and examples to your workplace before the day, so people are practising on situations they recognise. If you need something built from scratch rather than adapted, that is our customised learning and development solution instead.

Yes. Online delivery works well for most subjects and is often the practical choice for teams split across sites or states. Sessions that rely heavily on physical group exercises tend to land better in person, and we will say so if that applies to what you have chosen.

Nationally, including Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra and Darwin, plus regional locations. Online delivery is available anywhere.

A few weeks is comfortable for most sessions, since it allows time to match the right facilitator and adapt the content. If you have a fixed date coming up, tell us early and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable.

Your team leaves with the tools and the agreed actions from the session. Where a group wants to keep building on it, the natural next step is a multiple workshop solution or coaching, but there is no obligation and plenty of clients run a single workshop and stop there.

Tell us what needs to change

Whether you know exactly what you need or just know something has to change, we will listen first, then design the right path with you.
