Professional background
An experienced leadership development practitioner, Karen supports leaders to drive performance in their organisations through strategy development, employee engagement, organisational design, quality and risk management and process development. Her significant experience spans 30+ years across many industries and sectors, providing Karen with a deep understanding of the complexities facing the leader of today. Whilst Karen delivers workshops to assist organisations and leadership teams in developing strategy, planning and managing change and developing leaders, she also provides coaching to individuals and groups to support more targeted needs.
Coaching process
Karen’s focus in coaching is to enable people to recognise their strengths and capabilities and to build on these to support development needs. She provides a safe environment that allows people to truly explore possibilities without judgement or barriers. Karen is accredited in a number of tools that are designed to provide the coachee with fresh perspectives on their thinking and behavioural styles. This allows the coachee to break through mindsets and beliefs about current capability to capture opportunities. Coaching can be targeted to the level the coachee is currently working at, from executives and senior leaders through to new managers and supervisors.
Coaching achievements and results
Previous coaching experiences include Board Members, senior Alliance Project Managers and Project Management Teams (project value $30 Million upwards in defence, construction, mining and road). LSI/ Genos debriefing and coaching to senior executives, mid level managers and staff in government and commercial organisations.
