Strategy is a cyclical process comprising thinking, planning and execution phases which should remain dynamic in response to the changing industry environment. Following this process will ensure the business environment and alignment of shareholder expectations is debated prior to developing and implementing a strategic plan.
The strategy cycle aligns to the Start with Why philosophy developed by Simon Sinek and can be summarised by the following three questions:
1. WHY – what is your organisations Purpose and Value Proposition.
2. HOW – what is unique about the way your organisation operates.
3. WHAT – what are the key business areas to deliver a sustainable strategy.
These three questions are answered through facilitated Board and Executive discussions.
The workshop is designed for the board members and key executives of your organisation. Where appropriate your key stakeholders could also attend.
Pre-work will include a questionnaire to prepare participants to think strategically and identify critical issues.
The Golden Circle Ted Talk by Simon Sinek.
There may be 1:1 meetings with participants to identify key market, competitor and customer data.
Materials for group activities will be provided.
