Overview
Career conversations between leaders, managers and employees play a crucial role in fostering professional growth and aid in increasing motivation, engagement, job satisfaction and retention. They are also a power vehicle for succession planning and building skills for the future.
Research shows that younger generation workers come with higher expectations of their employer with regards to career development support and a higher desire for meaningful, values aligned work.
Managers often feel ill-equipped to facilitate career conversations and pressured to have all the answers.
This workshop will empower managers and leaders to approach the conversations with confidence and the capacity to facilitate thinking, ownership and action with their direct reports.
This workshop is delivered across two half-days to facilitate reflection and home-based learning tasks between sessions.
Workshop can be delivered to groups of 16-30 participants with an additional facilitator

About the facilitator
Kendal is passionate about increasing interpersonal performance within organisations through her leadership training and workshops, where she works with clients as a thinking partner to increase engagement, productivity and joy in the workplace. Over the past eleven years, Kendal has delivered executive, team, change, career and transition workshops and coaching services to individuals and teams in blue chip organisations and SME’s. Kendal has over 40 years’ experience across a range of industries including the Defence Force, Mining & Resources, Education and Not for Profit sectors.
Kendal holds a Bachelor of Social Services (with Distinction) and a Graduate Certificate in Career Development and a Graduate Certificate in Positive Psychology. Kendal is a Registered CICA Practitioner, Professional Member of the CDAA, APCDA and a Member of the ICF.
Kendal is a qualified administrator of a range of psychometric assessment tools and a Points of You® Certified Expert.
Kendal is a board member of the Rockingham Montessori School, a past general member on the board of Baldivis Senior College, Tiny Sparks WA, and long-standing member of the Rockingham Education and Training Committee (RETAC).
CDAA Excellence in Practice WA Award Winner 2020 and 2021
