Matt has over 20 years leadership experience in some of the world’s largest manufacturing organisations such as Nestle, Pfizer, Procter and Gamble and locally with LION (the Australasian brewer). He has also supported Synergy and the Water Corporation in designing Operational Excellence and Innovation programs. His career has specialised in transforming organisations through Operational excellence, LEAN manufacturing and deploying Agile ways of working and mindsets to improve business performance.
Matt is an emotionally intelligent and highly collaborative leader, who maximises team outcomes through enabling high engagement and psychological safety. He is an accomplished and respected leader in developing strategic and innovative improvement strategies, leveraging fluency in improvement tools such as Lean, Agile, Design Thinking and DMAIC, as well as a deep understanding of human capital requirements, to ensure the best business outcomes. He is known to bring a calm, disciplined and methodical, yet creative approach, fuelling a reputation as a ‘complexity breaker’.
Matt can strategically simplify complexity, helping businesses and their executive teams navigate through ambiguity to align with multiple and often competing agendas.
Most recently as an Enterprise Business Agility Coaching lead, Matt supported a global manufacturing organisation where he designed and deployed a leadership program to over 1000 leaders globally and to Asia Pacific executive leadership teams, to help leaders adopt Agile mindsets to support an organisational wide Agile transformation.
