Joel has built his career around helping people bring out their creative best, and to understand themselves better as learners and communicators.

Drawing on his roots in constructivist and constructionist learning, Joel uses the LEGO Serious Play method to help individuals, teams, and whole organisations do their best thinking by leaving their "outer grownup" at the door, and letting the inner child do the important work. We build the understandings we hold in our heads by building solutions to a challenge with our hands.

As an experienced learning designer, educator, and conscientious objector to ever fully growing up, Joel brings over a decade of facilitation experience to the table, along with a big pile of LEGO bricks.

He has worked with organisations as diverse as The Positivity Institute, SpacetoCo, Bethanie, the Department of Education, the Water Corporation, and RAC. His experience spans corporate, not-for-profit, government, health, education, and startups.
