    Workshop:
    Mental Health First Aid Training

    Overview

Mental Health First Aid Training creates an opportunity to build better relationships at work and improve business productivity. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches participants how to assist people who are developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis, until appropriate professional help is received, or the crisis resolves.

Have you ever struggled with what to say or how to support someone suffering from a mental health issue? By understanding the impact of mental health issues, managers and employees can learn to support each other in appropriate ways. Mental Health First Aid awareness builds an environment conducive to recovery. Knowledge of mental health issues reduces and eliminates stigma in our communities and creates an environment of inclusion, supporting all employees.

Good mental health support practices provide strong healthy workplaces, leading to more productivity and retaining trained staff. Mental Health First Aid helps to create an environment of awareness and tolerance, leading changes and improvement in mental health conditions in employees.
